Virtual Town Hall Ripple Effect

A Congressional Management Foundation report titled “Online Town Hall Meetings: Exploring Democracy in the 21st Century”, comes to some impressive conclusions about virtual town hall meetings.

The study found that those who attended an online session created a “ripple effect” with those who participated because of their enthusiasm and willingness to talk to others about their experience on the online town hall meetings. Additionally, participants found that trust of the Member of Congress increased 14%, and participants became more likely to try and persuade others to vote after the online town hall.

This is something we hear from the organizations and campaigns we work with regularly about our Telephone Town Halls.

Telephone Town Halls can get a cohesive message out to thousands of supporters. Participants on the call are prone to talk to their family, friends, and neighbors about the Telephone Town Hall and the topics discussed, organically spreading the word about your organization’s freshest marketing campaign or your candidate’s newest policy platform.

While the report focused on Members of Congress, organizations and non-profits we’ve worked with have had positive, tangible results in their member outreach and donor cultivation.

Telephone Town Halls connect ordinary citizens to political and community leaders with meaningful, two-way dialogue.
