Virtual Town Hall Ripple Effect

A Congressional Management Foundation report titled “Online Town Hall Meetings: Exploring Democracy in the 21st Century”, comes to some impressive conclusions about virtual town hall meetings.

The study found that those who attended an online session created a “ripple effect” with those who participated because of their enthusiasm and willingness to talk to others about their experience on the online town hall meetings. Additionally, participants found that trust of the Member of Congress increased 14%, and participants became more likely to try and persuade others to vote after the online town hall.
